Uploading your MIDI-eBook to the Web

The FTP Program
When you start the FTP program you will usually be shown a page divided vertically into two halves.  Conventionally, the left half will show you a list of directories and files that exist on your hard disk.  The right side will show you a list of files that are on your web site. You will need to have a few facts ready.  The web host usually gives you:
the ftp address, the user name and password and the remote directory to use.
This data can be typed into your site manager. Then when you use the program each time you will only need to click once instead of re-typing all the info each time.
You will also need to specify the local directory where your files are stored.
When you are logged on successfully, all you need do is click on your file to highlight it on the left side and click on the upload button. The file will begin uploading to the web site and usually shows how many minutes it will take (depending on the speed of your connection).  More details on using your FTP program can be found in the Help files that come with the program.

An Easier Way
If you don't have time, or don't want to set up your own web site, you can send us a copy of your book on a Zip disk or CD by snail mail.
You can also email your book to us - as an attachment.
We will put your MIDI-eBook on our web site at: http://midi-ebooks.com.
Make sure you include a text file with your address details, a short biography of the author and an outline of what the story is about (at least 10 lines)
We will construct a web page specially devoted to your MIDI-eBook and advertise it in an index of other books.   The public will be able to purchase your book on line and download it from our site. We may also ask you to provide a few pages from your book which we can display as a preview for potential buyers.

What You Will Earn!
You may nominate a price for your book and we will review the book and suggest a price in line with quality and content. 10% of the transaction is paid to the company that handles the e-commerce credit card transactions.  We will charge another 15% to sell the book for you. So if the price of the book is $20 then you will still receive $15.  Even if you only sell 100 books that is a tidy sum of money. We expect you will sell many times that! We think this new entertaining form of eBooks will be a hit!
If your book is popular you may even sell tens of thousands of copies! The book will remain on sale as long as you want.  You can even update the book at any time.
You can begin writing more books as you continue to earn money!  We will send out checks once per month.  The e-commerce people provide an accurate account of all sales, which will enable you to check your stats at anytime.

As our web site grows in popularity, so will the sales of your MIDI-eBooks.
You will be able to choose your own user name and password to access your stats.
We will also provide a writers forum where you can find plenty of tips and tricks to use in your creations. An eZine is also planned to keep you up to date on latest releases and other news.
